Belts
What is a belt size? (Our belt size method)
Belt size is determined based from the fold in the leather near buckle (not the tip of the buckle) to the middle hole. In inches, so a 34 belt size will be 34 inches from the fold in the leather to the center hole. Normally a 34 inch belt size will be suited for someone who wears a 32 pant size. However the pant size is a general rule of thumb, that can vary a little depending on the pants or if you are even wearing the correct size pants, for example some wear pants larger than they really should but its what they prefer.
That is why we now refer to the belt size, instead of pant size when making your belt.
The best way to get a belt size.
If you wish to check with an old belt that you currently own then the best way is to measure for a belt is by using your existing belt, lay it on a flat surface and measure from the fold by the buckle (not the tip of the buckle) to the hole you currently use that is comfortable. (Which will not necessarily be the middle hole)
