Q- I did not get a order confirmation email.
A- Sometimes its accidently marked as "spam", please check your emails spam folder and be sure to mark it as "not spam". That way when your order ships you will get that email also, with the tracking information.
Q- I need to make a change on my order, what's the best way to?
A- Fill out a form on the Contact page, be sure to select "I need to make a correction on a order I placed" Then let us know. Be sure that you hear back from us, that we have confirmed we made the changes (within a few days) otherwise reach out again.
Please note if the project is started it may be too late to make the change depending on the type of changes made, this is out of our hands and the order will be completed. Fill out the form at this link https://www.oldcountryleather.com/contact.html
In any case be absolutely sure not to reply to a "no-reply" email also do not text message us
Q- How long will my order be?
A - Orders are fulfilled in the sequence that we received them. This prevents a customer from getting their item pushed back in the production line.(Except when Rush Orders are ahead) Anything ordered from our store items, even though customized, averages 2 to 4 weeks build time plus shipping. However a completely custom project not shown in the store may take longer (such as a knife sheath or other customer projects). Some items may ship much quicker, others longer. There is also a "Rush upgrade" available in our upgrade menu, if this is purchased you are bumped to the front of the production line.
Q- Can I pay more for a quicker shipping option?
A- Yes, we can bill you the difference in shipping for an upgraded shipping rate, however the shipping we offer is the best value. There is also a "Rush upgrade" available, which is not a shipping upgrade rather it's an upgrade for the work itself, which is usually a much better value then a shipping upgrade as it gets your item to the shipping stage sooner.
Q- How do I get my order done faster?
A- There is a "Rush upgrade" in the upgrade menu, just select the item you would like rushed. It will be put to the front of the line of our orders. It will be done as soon as we can, without cutting corners on quality. This is usually much better value then paying for a faster shipping method. And usually cuts the production time in half.
Q- I'm having trouble placing an order with my credit card.
A- Most of the time, people forget to add their postal code again in the credit card section after the CCV #. Or sometimes the Country will be defaulted to USA, if you are not in the states change the country first then you will see the "ZIP code" change to "Postal code" then proceed, this is usually cause of the issue. Another reason maybe is that you have to clear your history on your device or use a different device, this usually helps solve the issue.
Q- Can you make items not shown in the store?
A- Send us information and pictures if possible of what you had in mind, most of the times we can help people with their custom projects as well. However through the years as our business grows we have had less time for custom projects.
Q- I'm confused by the ordering process, can I order a different way?
A- Yes, you can tell us the details through email and we can send you an easy to follow invoice. We prefer an email instead of over the phone. That way we have your details in writing for your sake and ours. Overall though its best to place the order through our site yourself.
Q- Do you ship to the USA?
A- Yes, we ship to the States and worldwide. Purchases over $25 will have tracking. This is to offer the best value in shipping and the best safety of its arrival. Our shipping rates selected are of the best value in service.
Q- Do you have a storefront I can visit?
A- Currently our workshop located in Chesley Ontario is not open to the public, however if you live nearby and want to save on shipping. You can use coupon code "PICKUP" at checkout, to drop shipping charges. Than when the item is done we will call you and let you know and arrange a pick up time. .
Q- Do you make stamps for leather?
A- Currently we have stopped making brass stamps due to our workload, we may offer custom made brass stamps in the future again.
Q- How will I know when my order is shipped?
A- You will get an email showing your item has been shipped and the tracking number will be supplied with that email. (unless it's a non tracked item)
Q- An item says sold out, will it be back soon.
A- Since we make each item from scratch to order, usually when an item says sold out we are out of the hides or hardware for that item and have put it as "sold out". However in most cases "sold out" means we most likely wont get that leather in again. Its best to find an alternative item you like in our shop.
